Home & Business Decorating Contests!

Contest entry forms may be picked up and returned to The Piscataquis Observer (12 E. Main St, PO BOX 30) or The Raven's Attic East (224 E. Main St.) 

Judging will take place Friday, October 29th from 7 PM to 9 PM. 

Winners will receive a fabulous trophy and BRAGGING RIGHTS!

Trophies are sponsored by The Raven's Attic East and Created by Stacey Foster!


Wednesday, October 27th

5-7 PM  YMCA Family Pumpking Carving, pumpkins for the entire family to carve,                snacks & Halloween Music. $10 per family


Friday, October 29th
6 PM  ​ Thompson Free Library, Halloween Movie Night. Join us for an evening under           the tent! Grab your broomsticks and vacumms as we watch a Hallmovie with your favorite witches!!


8 PM  Bear's Den, Halloween Costume Party, with Uncrowned Kings !
        Prizes & Giveaways


​8 PM   Center TheatreThe Salem Witch Trials, an Author's Family History.

         Theresa Sneed, Author, Dover Foxcroft native, and 9th Great Granddaughter           of hanged witch Susannah Martin, will present her research on the Salem               Witch Trials at the Center Theatre. The event is free.

                                          Saturday, October 30th

9 AM-1 PM Dover Cove Farmer's MarketPiscataquis County Ice Arena

              1049 West Main St.


9 AM-1 PM Owl Bee Crafting, Union Square Mall, will be hosting a Halloween                              decoration to be painted for FREE for the first 30 kids


10 AM-2 PM The Charmed Life Jewelry & Gift store, Union Square Mall, will be                            hosting a FREE Halloween jewelry (or keychain) making workshop for                      children. They will also be passing out candy.


2-4 PM Dunkin Donuts, 1104 W. Main St.  Donut decorating. Free Spider donut to kids            in costume, Coloring Contest, Prizes to be won!


6-9 PM JMG Haunted Hallway at Foxcroft Academy The first hour (6:00-7:00 PM) will              be for the younger crowd.  From 7:00-8:00 PM, the Hallway will be a more                  intense experience. "Tours" will begin in the lobby at Foxcroft Academy. In            light of the ongoing pandemic, masks that cover the nose and mouth are              required while inside the building. Besides, you'll fit right in with our                    theme!  Donations of $2 per person, or $5 per family, will be gratefully                  accepted.


6-9 PM Ariel's Barbershop, 951 W. Main St. Barbershop of Horror, FREE Entry if you               Dare! Candy at Exit, Free fun for everyone! 


6-9 PM Central Hall Commons All Ages Dance Party, 152 East Main St., 

         Admission By Donation


7 PM   Center Theatre, The Wayside Grange presents the Half-Moon Jug Band.

         This  21st century jug band is rooted in the Downeast humor and dry wit               traditions of the state of Maine.


8 PM  Bear's Den, Halloween Costume Party, with Uncrowned Kings !

9 PM  Pat"s Pizza (Upstairs) Halloween Costume Party w/ DJ Ray. Dancing and                  Karaoke Prizes & Giveaways


10 PM The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Central Hall Commons, 152 East Main                       St., Admission By Donation


Sunday, October 31st HALLOWEEN!!!


1-4 PM  Piscataquis County Ice Arena "Spooky, Halloween Skate"

          with DJ Bobby Hartford


2:30-4:30 PM Foxcroft Academy, Trunk or Treat in the Student Parking Lot.

                  Admission by Donation for UNICEF


3 pm  Kids Costume Parade from Pat's Pizza parking lot to the Congregational                 Church parking lot. 


4 PM  Trunk or Treat in the Congregational Church parking lot. If you would like to          participate with your vehicle, please contact Theresa Spelios (207) 343-1074


4:30 PM Thompson Free Library, Trick or Treat, for a book at the Thompson Free                   Library! Every trick or treater (infant- teen) will pick one book to take                 home and keep.
